Please read before purchasing a puppy from us

ALL PUPPIES COME WITH: 

• Registration.  All of our puppies are AKC or CKC.  We do work with other registries as well.  Registration approximately 60 days after you receive the puppy.
• One-year health guarantee.  (See below; terms)
• Health Certificate. (If puppy is shipped)
• Puppy Carrier.  (If puppy is shipped)  
• Complete physical examination by a licensed vet. (If being shipped)
• Current shots.  If puppy is being held beyond 8 weeks, 2nd round is the responsibility of the buyer.

HEALTH GUARANTEE:

The purchase of ANY puppy is subject to the following terms and conditions.

·        All puppies are sold as pet quality only.  We make no guarantees of being able to show, breed, weight or height as adults.  Puppies are sold as is in regards to color, weight, size.

·        Shot Records:  All puppies sold by us will come with current shots up to 8 weeks, deworming and physical exam.  The new owner is expected to continue the vaccination as prescribed by their vet.  A shot record is included with each puppy.  No puppy will be replaced that fails to have the proper veterinary care. 

·        Initial Exam:  All puppies must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of purchasing the puppy.  A copy of the exam (not the bill) must be mailed to: House of Pets 3712 Ringgold Rd # 162  Chattanooga, TN  37412 within 30 days of purchase date for any guarantee can be valid.  Guarantee starts at the date of actual purchase.  If the puppy is examined and is determined by your veterinarian not to be merchantable at the time of purchase, you may return the puppy for a replacement puppy if available.  Can take up to a year or more.  However this is not most cases. ·        Congenital or Hereditary Defects:  We give a 1 yr guarantee against life threatening defects limited to, heart, lungs, liver.  If there is found to be one of these type of defects the puppy and AKC papers would have to be returned before a replacement can be made. If the puppy is euthanized, due to heart, liver, or lungs, you will be given a replacement puppy upon receiving a veterinary statement and a phone call from the veterinarian.  Replacement puppies can take up to a year or more and are not covered under the guarantee.  One exercised guarantee per person per lifetime.  All shipping charges will be paid by the buyer, the return of the old puppy and shipment of the new puppy. No puppies will be replaced if euthanized because of pneumonia, hypoglycemia, coccidiosis, giardia, dehydration, or hernias. A puppy that has problems and is euthanized due to stress because of over-under weight, over-under-exercised will not be replaced. Puppies who do not weigh according to the AKC standard please see below.

·        Death:  In case of death, an autopsy stating the cause of death would be required before a replacement can be made. Can take up to 1 yr. No money is ever refunded. No replacement can be made until the registration papers are returned. No puppy is covered that dies of pneumonia, hypoglycemia, coccidiosis, giardia, dehydration or hernias.  A puppy that dies because of complications due to stress because of over-under weight, over-under-exercised will not be replaced. The buyer will pay for all shipping charges of the replacement puppy.

·        Parvo:  We only guarantee parvo if we are contacted within 6 days since they can pick that up anywhere after the puppy leaves us. You will receive a full refund or if you so choose a replacement puppy from a different litter.  Can take up to a year or more.

·        This guarantee is void if puppy is bred before it reaches 12 months old.

·        This contract is for the person purchasing the puppy.  It is null and void if transferred to another person.

·        In the event that this guarantee is exercised it would be subject to the availability of another litter.  It can take up to 1 year or more.

·        Application:  Please fill out the application so we can keep track of who we sold what puppy to.

·        You agree that the sale is made in the state of Tennessee no matter where you may be viewing or having the puppy shipped.

·        You agree to the terms and conditions when you purchase a puppy from us.

·        Disclosure:  Because of the high demand that we have experienced for puppies we have begun to offer puppies for sale from other breeders.  If you have any questions concerning this or our philosophy concerning this all you have to do is ask.  All puppies that you have purchased from us fall under this guarantee.  We stand behind them or we wouldn't offer them for sale.

SHIPPING INFO

SHIPPING:

• Continental Airlines:  $275.00 is the responsibility of the buyer.  Shipping includes airfare, puppy carrier, health certificate, and transport fee.  Very safe and fastest way to get your new baby to you.  Shipping can be done all year long.  Continental is the only airline to provide air and heat controlled wherever the puppy is transported. 
• Ground door to door:  $500.00 (approx) is the responsibility of the buyer.  Shipping includes the delivery service from my door to yours and health certificate.  Buyer must rent a puppy carrier from the company itself or buy one from us. 
• Delivery service:  Personal delivery door-to-door service is available to select cities for a flat rate.
• Delay of Shipment:  We reserve the right to not ship any puppy that we feel that is not ready.  Other causes of delay would be, weather, acts of nature, family emergencies, such as sickness, or other members of the family that would require me to be there.  You as the buyer should know we are not a big company and sometimes things happen that causes delay.  The airport is two hours from us and we have had such problems as flat tires, car breaking down, weather problems. We simply schedule it for another day.  See cancellation option below.
• Cancellation option:  The deposit will be forfeited and a 10% cancellation fee of the total purchase price will apply. 
• Other Cancellation:  A puppy that fails a vet check and the puppy cannot be shipped, you have the option of either waiting for your puppy to pass the vet check, picking another puppy or a complete refund including the deposit.
• Other guarantee:  We do guarantee our puppies to arrive safely when traveling either by plane, ground, or personal transport.  If they fail to arrive safely please contact us with your concern and if applicable a replacement puppy will be made. Shipping expenses would be paid by the buyer.

PAYMENT INFO:

• Deposits:  A deposit of 50% will hold your puppy for 1 week unless other arrangements are made in advance.  Deposits are non-refundable for any reason.  When you pay your balance the deposit will be subtracted from the total.
• Balance + shipping is due within 1 week unless other arrangements are made in advance.
• All sales are final in regards to you receiving the puppy, initial exam found to be satisfactory and acceptance has been made.
• Rescue:  We do and have in the past accepted puppies back if you are unable to care for the puppy, adjustment, marital or landlord problems.  We will take them back as a rescue basis only meaning that no money is refunded.  Shipping expenses to be paid by the buyer.  We always want you to know that the puppy has a place to come back to.
• If for some reason we can't deliver to the airport of your 1^st or 2^nd choice then another delivery method must be used.  We do not refund money for the puppy because of this.  Ground shipping or personal delivery service will be used in this case. Extra cost is the responsibility of the buyer.
• This agreement supercedes any other agreement and if any of this agreement is not honored in a court of law in the state of Tennessee, the rest well be deemed effective.
• Old Web pages.  We do not honor guarantees that are viewed on an old web page.  The current guarantee will supercede any guarantee.
